“Pipes” Recommends “Marrying Meg” – The New Scottish Musical
The Pipes of Christmas is pleased to support the NYC premiere of “Marrying Meg,” the new Scottish musical by Mark Robertson. The musical runs from September 29 through October 6 as part of the 2009 NY Musical Theatre Festival. Performances will be held at the Theater at St. Clements located at 423 West 46th Street in the heart of the theater district.
“Marrying Meg” is a genuine Scottish musical adapted from a hilarious Scottish play (Alexander Reid’s The Lass wi the Muckle Mou) which is in turn based on two famous folk tales from the Scottish borders.
Throughout its extensive development period, Marrying Meg has reached the finals of three prestigious European musicals competitions, and arrives at this years New York Musicals Festival as the only show to have Cameron Mackintosh as one of its official sponsors.
