April 1, 2013 – Clan Currie to Host Academic Symposium

 

Join us in Antigonish, Nova Scotia for our 2013 Clan Gathering and MacMhuirich Symposium being held in conjunction with the 150th Anniversary celebration of the Antigonish Highland Games. On Thursday, July 11, Clan Currie will hold their third annual Symposium featuring some of the foremost authorities on Medieval Gaelic History and Poetry followed by the first of two field trips. We will carpool to Pictou, Nova Scotia and tour the Hector Heritage Quay followed by dinner and a summer ceilidh.

 

On Friday, July 12, we will take our second field trip, carpooling to the Gaelic College in St. Ann’s, Nova Scotia for a tour followed by a luncheon ceilidh.

 

On Saturday and Sunday, Juy 13 and 14, we will attend the Antigonish Highland Games and join in the March of the Clans.
