“Pipes of Christmas” Concert Highlights to Air on Cable Television
Screenings Scheduled for Christmas Weekend
  
Highlights of the 13th Annual Pipes of Christmas will be aired on HomeTowne Television throughout central New Jersey this Christmas weekend.  The program will be aired over the Christmas weekend, December 24 – 26. The videotaping took place at the December 16 evening concert at Central Presbyterian Church in Summit, NJ.
  
Air times are as follows:
Saturday – Monday, December 24 – 26
at noon, 8:00 PM and 12:30 AM

The Pipes of Christmas features performances by many leading Scottish and Irish performers, including popular country dance trio Local Hero, Celtic harpist Jennifer Port, and the Kevin Ray Blandford Memorial Pipe Band.  Other members of the company include guitarist Steve Gibb, James Robinson, Andrew Weir and the Solid Brass ensemble.
  
Lead sponsors of the 2011 production were Oban Single Malt Scotch Whisky and the Grand Summit Hotel.  Additional support was provided by Rodney Strong Winery, the Royal Bank of Canada and the Mohonk Mountain House.
  
Concert proceeds fund music scholarships in the US, Scotland and Canada.
  
An Award-Winning Collaboration
HomeTowne Television first began broadcasting concert highlights in 2000.  Since that time, the program has been the recipient of five prestigious Telly Awards and a Videographer Award for video production excellence.  The 2003 concert was televised live as a fund raiser for the community access station.
