The tourist-friendly website serves as a definitive guide to all that is best in the Big Apple. Other “Top Ten” categories include, “Shows and Concerts,” “iPhone Applications,” and “Restaurant Deals.”

This incredible endorsement comes just days before the “Pipes” is set to celebrate its fifth anniversary concert in New York. The concert – now in its 12th year – debuted at NYC’s Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church in 2006.

Commenting on the accolade, “Pipes” producer Robert Currie said, “We’ve been blessed with an exceptional reception since coming to Manhattan in 2006. For a city that is not short of holiday programming from high-stepping holiday extravaganzas, magnificent Haydn oratorios and classical ballets starring nutcrackers and sugar plumb fairies, New Yorkers didn’t wait until the end of that first concert to cast their vote of approval. Our performers were treated to a standing ovation at the end of the First Act!”

To further cement their vote of approval, the audience demanded a (totally unplanned) encore at the end of the evening.

The Pipes of Christmas returns to the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church located in Manhattan’s beautiful Upper East Side on Sunday, December 19 for one performance only at 2:30 PM.

On Saturday, December 18, the concert will play two peformances in NJ at Central Presbyterian Church in Summit. Performances will be held at 2 and 8 PM.

The 2010 concerts are made possible by generous gifts from Oban Single Malt Scotch Whisky and the Grand Summit Hotel.
