Approximately 60 premier brands and retailers on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Streets will donate 20 percent of the day’s sales to the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to benefit the Pediatric Family Housing Endowment.

The mission of the Pediatric Family Housing Endowment is to pay for overnight stays at local accommodations when children and their families arrive for treatment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s renowned Pediatric Department and are unable to afford these expenses themselves.

According to Pipes producer, Robert Currie, “We were thrilled when the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) invited us back. We are pleased to help play a small role in supporting this important charity.”

The Miracle on Madison Avenue stage positioned at 64 Street goes live with four hours of holiday entertainment to add enjoyment to the shopping experience. In addition to the Pipes of Christmas, performances by Cobu, a combination of elements from Japanese traditional Taiko drumming and rhythmic tap dancing, and “Come Together,” classic 1960’s cover band. Shoppers can also relax during their shopping day at the hospitality lounge on Madison at 67 Street, sponsored by the Italian Trade Commission.
