William Wallace to Appear at Pipes of Christmas
Well not the William Wallace. At last count he was over 740 years old. But seriously, we are delighted to welcome Glasgow-born actor, James Robinson to the cast of the Pipes of Christmas. James joins with fellow “Braveheart” veteran Andrew Weir (together they played young William and young Hamish in Mel Gibson’s 1995 blockbuster film) for the 2011 concert.

After his auspicious start in “Braveheart,” James trained at Ayr College in Scotland and the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London. He featured in “Saxon” for Silwood Films, “Doctors” for the BBC and in the award-winning short “Anglesey Road” which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. He has just completed filming the much-anticipated Paul Ferris biopic, “The Wee Man.”

Participating merchants along Manhattan’s famed shopping boulevard of premier luxury and jewelry retailers (including, Polo Ralph Lauren, Georg Jensen, DKNY, Hermes, and Giorgio Armani) donated 20% of sales that day to the Children’s Aid Society. Shoppers were entertained by the NY Celtic Dancers accompanied by piper Tommy Munro and drummer Michael Eagle. A great day and a great cause.
