Latest News from the Pipes of Christmas
There’s just two months to go before the curtain goes up on the 13th edition of The Pipes of Christmas! Here’s the latest news:

* Tickets Sales are Going Very Strong!

We’ve already sold more than half the tickets available for our Friday, December 16th concert in Summit. NYC sales have been equally brisk. If you haven’t ordered your tickets yet, do so now. Don’t be left out! For complete details and a ticket order form visitwww.pipesofchristmas.com. Remember, there’s only one concert scheduled for NJ this year!
* Make it a Grand Event

We are delighted to report that our good friends at the Grand Summit Hotel have signed on for another year as one of our lead sponsors.
The Grand Summit has stepped up to help host all your out of town friends and family members by offering a special “Pipes of Christmas” weekend rate of $125 per night. So call on cousin Bill from Blairstown or Aunt Chloe from Cleveland and make it a great pre-Christmas reunion weekend with the “Pipes” and the Grand Summit. Their newly-opened Hat Tavern is the place to go for a pre-concert dinner. For additional information, contact the Grand Summit Hotel at (908) 273-3000.
* Congratulations to our Latest Scholarship Recipient
The Pipes of Christmas salutes Elliot Smith of Concord, New Hampshire for receiving the first annual Private Bill Millin Memorial Scholarship for Bagpipe. The award-winning piper is a junior attending Lyon College in Batesville, AR.

The college, renowned for their Scottish Heritage Program and pipe band, administers the scholarship on behalf of the Clan Currie Society, producers of the Pipes of Christmas.

As many of you will recall, the 2010 edition of the Pipes of Christmas included a special tribute to Millin, the famed D-Day piper who inspired British and Canadian forces as they landed on Sword Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. The wonderful tribute, led by the Rev. Dr. David Currie can be viewed on the concert website in the Video section.
* Our NJ and NYC Host Committees are the Best
NJ Host Committee Chairs Joan and Mike Gambro and Mary Ann and Craig Moore kicked off the countdown to the “Pipes” in high style with an elegant reception. In Manhattan, the law offices of Kaye Scholer provided the perfect setting for hosting the NY Host Committee hosted by Michael Smith and Gary Gartner. Lead sponsor Oban Single Malt Scotch Whisky provided a generous supply of the “water of life” to be enjoyed at both events.
